Personal Alarms
Possum’s personal alarms are designed to provide reassurance, promote independence and enable fast access to help when it’s needed most. Comfortable to wear and simple to use, they allow individuals to quickly raise an alarm in an emergency at home, giving both users and their carers greater peace of mind.
Available as wristworn alarms or pendants worn around the neck, our personal alarms are discreet, lightweight and suitable for everyday use. With a single press of a button, the alarm connects directly to an Alarm Response Centre (ARC), ensuring support is always within reach.
How it works
When the alarm is activated, the call is handled by trained Alarm Response Centre (ARC) operators who will:
Speak with the individual to assess the situation
Triage the call based on urgency
Contact a nominated responder, family member or carer
Escalate to emergency services (999) where required
This structured response process ensures the right help is delivered quickly and appropriately, helping to reduce stress and anxiety for carers, who can be confident that support will be provided even when they are not present.
